Briedo uses cookies and similar browser storage mechanisms to operate the platform securely, remember your settings, and, where you give consent, measure how the product is used so we can improve it.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

• Security and authentication, Protecting signed-in sessions and preventing cross-site attacks.
• Session continuity, Keeping you signed in as you navigate between pages without logging out on each request.
• Preference storage, Remembering settings you have configured so they are available on your next visit.
• Usage measurement, Collecting anonymised, aggregated data about how the platform is used so we can improve it. Activated only with your consent.
• Marketing, Measuring the reach of our communications and re-engaging interested visitors on other platforms. Activated only with your explicit consent, and only when a marketing vendor is configured.

3. Cookie Categories

We group cookies into four categories. You can accept or reject each non-essential category individually through our Cookie preferences panel.

3.1 Strictly Necessary

These cookies are technically essential for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. They handle authentication, protect against security threats, and enable core platform features. Without them, you would not be able to sign in or use the product.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest / technically required under ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3). Consent does not apply.

• firebase_auth, Firebase authentication token persistence

3.2 Analytics

Analytics cookies allow us to measure how visitors use Briedo, which pages they visit, which features they access, and how they move through the product. All data is aggregated and anonymised. No personal identifiers are stored in analytics reports, and no advertising profiles are built from this data.

Legal basis: Consent, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3).

This category is disabled by default. Cookies in this category are only set after you explicitly consent.

• _ga, Google Analytics 4, distinguishes unique visitors (session-level)
• _ga_*, Google Analytics 4, session and engagement state persistence
• _clck, Microsoft Clarity, persists a pseudonymous Clarity user ID for this site
• _clsk, Microsoft Clarity, connects multiple page views into a single session recording

3.3 Functional

Functional cookies allow the platform to remember choices you have made on previous visits, such as display settings or workspace preferences. Refusing functional cookies means personalised preferences will not persist between sessions, but the core product remains fully usable.

3.4 Marketing

Marketing cookies track browsing activity across websites to support campaign measurement and re-engagement with interested visitors. This category is present in our consent system for future use.

No marketing vendor is currently active. No marketing cookies are set unless you consent to this category and a vendor has been configured. If a marketing vendor is activated in the future, this policy will be updated and, where required, your consent will be re-requested when you next visit the site.

4. Active Technologies and Vendors

The following third-party services are currently integrated into Briedo and may set cookies or access browser storage when consent is granted:

Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC)

• Category: Analytics
• Purpose: Measuring anonymised usage patterns to help us understand and improve the product
• Activation: Loaded only after you consent to the Analytics cookie category, not before
• Data handling: IP addresses are anonymised at collection. Data is not sold or used for advertising purposes.
• Google's privacy information: policies.google.com/privacy

Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation)

• Category: Analytics
• Purpose: Session and interaction analytics (clicks, scrolling, navigation) to understand usability and improve the product
• Activation: Loaded only after you consent to the Analytics cookie category, not before. This is not a strictly necessary cookie.
• Data handling: Sets the first-party cookies _clck and _clsk and may set additional Microsoft cookies. Briedo masks sensitive intake, contact and brief content, and sends only bucketed, non-identifying tags. Processing may occur outside the EU/EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can control which cookie categories are active at any time:

• On your first visit, Use the consent banner to accept all, reject all, or customise individual categories.
• At any time afterwards, Click Cookie settings in the site footer to reopen the preferences panel and change your choices.

Your preferences are stored locally in your browser. If you clear your browser storage or cookies, you will be asked to confirm your preferences again on your next visit.
